This was reported by the press service of the Socialist Party, which is part of the alliance.

“In their complaint, the deputies specified that the main purpose of imposing a state of emergency was the need to pay Gazprom 50% of the gas consumption fee in January before January 21 ... on the same day, Moldovagaz fulfilled its obligations, the goal of imposing a state of emergency was achieved and exhausted,” the statement said.

According to the bloc, the authorities decided not to lift the state of emergency after payment in order to block protests and increase media censorship.

Earlier it was reported that the Parliament of Moldova adopted a resolution on the introduction of a state of emergency for a period of 60 days after Gazprom notified the Moldovan side of the cessation of gas supplies from January 21 due to non-payment for fuel supplied in January.

Commission on Emergency in Energy of Moldova obliged "Moldovagaz" to repay the debt to "Gazprom" by the end of January 20.

Later, Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Andrei Spinu announced the repayment of the debt for January.
