Borrell says EU has no plans to evacuate its diplomats from Ukraine

Borrell said this before a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, RIA Novosti reported.

He explained that the EU sees no reason for this.

At the same time, Borrell said that he was awaiting clarification from the United States in connection with information about Washington's plans to evacuate the families of American diplomats from Ukraine.

“Secretary Blinken will explain to us the reasons for this announcement.

We are not going to do something like that, because we do not see any special reasons for this, ”he said.

Borrell also urged not to dramatize the situation while the negotiation process is underway.

Earlier, the US State Department allowed the voluntary departure from the territory of Ukraine for some employees of the US Embassy in Kiev and their families.

At the same time, the State Department said that the US Embassy in Kiev will continue its work as usual, despite the departure of some American diplomats.
