The White House has announced that the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman will participate in NATO's naval exercise early next month.

[Jen Saki / US White House Press Secretary: It is the first time since the end of the Cold War that the US Carrier Strike Group will participate in a training under NATO command. This exercise will demonstrate the coordinated response capabilities and strength of the Atlantic allies.]

If the invasion of Ukraine becomes a reality, it has also announced a plan to send 8,500 American troops to Eastern Europe.

Apart from the military response, strong economic sanctions are also being prepared.

The Washington Post reported that the Biden government is considering sanctions against Russia similar to those applied to Chinese company Huawei.

It is a ban on the export of products made using US software or technology, but it is a sanction with great ripple effect as semiconductors, a key component of electronic devices, fall under this category.

NATO began to strengthen its forces by deploying additional warships and fighters to the NATO forces stationed in Eastern Europe, and Russia immediately responded with a Baltic Fleet training maneuver.

The Kremlin warns that the US is spreading false information that Russia will invade Ukraine, despite repeated counter-responses from Russia, and that it will not stand by the escalating tensions between the US and NATO.
