“Based on the results of a pre-investigation check on the infliction of bodily harm to a child as a result of a dog bite, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art.
293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence)," the message says.
According to the Investigative Committee, on the morning of January 21, in one of the parks in Kolomna, a local resident with her sons of nine and four years old saw a dog without a collar and a muzzle.
“Believing that the dog could get lost, the woman began to photograph it.
After that, the dog began to behave aggressively, attacked and bit the youngest of the boys in the face area, ”the press service added.
As noted, the child was taken to the hospital in a state of moderate severity.
Earlier it was reported that investigators opened a criminal case into the death of a seven-year-old girl in the Chita district of the Trans-Baikal Territory as a result of an attack by dogs.
Later, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to prepare proposals for changing the legislation after cases of death due to attacks by stray dogs in the regions.
