These services recorded 143 new admissions in the past 24 hours, compared to 214 the previous day.

Covid-19 contaminations remain at a high level with 301,614 people tested positive in 24 hours, according to data published on Sunday by Public Health France.

On average over seven days, this indicator amounts to 360,007 cases.

Currently, 28,838 Covid patients are seen in hospital, compared to 28,515 on Friday.

In 24 hours, 1,094 people were admitted to hospital against 1,994 the day before.

If it is much more contagious than its predecessors, the Omicron variant also gives fewer severe forms, which is reflected in particular by shorter passages in hospital and less frequent admissions to intensive care.

In 24 hours, 115 people died of Covid, according to data published Sunday by Public Health France, against 167 the day before, bringing the total death toll to 128,629 since the start of the epidemic.

While the vaccination pass comes into force on Monday, 53,813,666 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 79.8% of the total population) and 52,479,166 people have a complete vaccination schedule (77.8% of the total population ).
