Feuz was ahead of Odermatt by 21/100 and the Austrian Daniel Hemetsberger, 3rd surprise at 90/100.

Second in the first descent on Friday, Johan Clarey took 5th place at 1 sec 17 despite a big mistake.

Hero of Friday with his surprise 3rd place, Blaise Giezendanner finished 29th at 3 sec 01.

"Perfect Race"

Feuz, Odermatt, accomplices, remained side by side for a long time chatting around the "hot seat", the seat of the provisional leader.

Royal, Beat Feuz once again conquered the descent of Kitzbühel and was able to observe, seated well on the local throne, his adversaries breaking their teeth on his time.

At his side, Marco Odermatt had to bow after seeing the victory up close.

Princely, the prodigy made a superb passage of engagement and was in the lead until a big mistake before the long overhang of the "cross", which allowed Feuz to overtake him.

"It's unbelievable, I think I did the perfect race until the crossbar which was very difficult, I still managed to get through the door," he explained in the mixed zone.

At just 24 years old, the Swiss climbed the Streif podium on only his fourth start, a real feat in this discipline which normally rewards expertise and experience.

"I'm a little surprised, I know that I can do great things, even on the difficult tracks. Of course it's a dream to have my red cabin in Kitzbühel (reserved for the winners), but for now it's It's great that Beat wins."

Irresistible, the Nidwalden flies in the general classification of the World Cup where he now has 375 points ahead of the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, winner of the first descent on Friday but only 6th on Sunday.

With 1,200 points two-thirds of the season (24 out of 35 races), Odermatt is off to a crazy start, even if Austrian Hermann Maier's men's record (2,000 points in 2000) seems untouchable.

In the spring, Alexis Pinturault had won the big globe ahead of Odermatt with 1,260 points.

The Swiss now has 11 podiums this season in three different disciplines (giant, super-G, downhill).

He can dream of a harvest of medals at the Beijing Olympics in less than two weeks (February 4-20), the next step for him since he will not be competing in the Schladming slalom on Tuesday, the last meeting before the Olympics.

"A genius"

"Odermatt? He's a genius. An incredible skier, he has a phenomenal quality of support, he cuts the slightest turn without leaving a + fart + smoke, with a technique all his own. He surprised me at the start of the season but now we are used to it", greeted Johan Clarey, 5th.

At 41, the Frenchman made a fatal fault on the top of the course, while validating a fifth consecutive top-5 in his favorite downhill.

"I'm a bit green, I make a huge mistake at the top of the track, without that I had third place well in my legs. The first two no, but the third yes. I fight like a lion at the bottom, c It's not so bad in the end, but I still have a little balls", he said.

With his third victory on the Streif at the age of 34, Beat Feuz can still dream of winning a fifth consecutive small downhill globe, which has never happened in the history of men's alpine skiing.

He is currently 2nd in Kilde's eight-point specialty standings.

Behind Clarey, Maxence Muzaton finished 18th, Nils Allègre 27th and Blaise Giezendanner 29th.
