The money will be distributed over approximately 3,000 employees in the shortage force and will be added on top of the annual salary increase, according to a decision by the municipal board's personnel committee.
Carin Jacobsson, vice chairman of Kommunal's care and nursing section in Halmstad, says that more employees are also needed, but that the money can give a higher status to these professions.
