Lena Asplund (M) on tests for prostate cancer: "I think it is important"

It is the Northern Health Care Regional Association that has decided to recommend organized prostate cancer testing, abbreviated OPT.

The administration will be handled from Västerbotten, says Lena Asplund (M), who is chairman of the health and medical care committee.

- This is not a screening, but it is voluntary if you want to take this PSA test, she says.

Unions want screening

Recently, the Prostate Cancer Association courted Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren (S) and submitted a petition to demand national and general screening for prostate cancer.
