“Due to the increase in the number of children with signs of respiratory diseases, SARS and COVID-19, from January 24, 23, schools in Ulan-Ude are switching to distance learning,” the city administration reported to TASS.

The remote learning format will be valid until a special order from the regional education committee.

The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, said earlier that students of all grades, except for the ninth and 11th grades, are being transferred to distance learning in Yakutsk.

The decision was made following a meeting of the operational headquarters of Yakutia to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
