Earlier, the deputies of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation submitted a draft resolution to the State Duma, in which it is proposed to officially appeal to the President of Russia with a request to recognize the independence of the LPR and the DPR.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the draft appeal submitted to the State Duma, recalled that "there is a certain procedure" according to which a vote should take place.

Consultations with the heads of factions to discuss the draft resolution on the recognition of the LPR and DPR will be held in the State Duma of Russia next week.
