“Starting January 22, 2022, the DHS will require non-U.S. citizens who wish to enter the United States through land borders and ferry terminals at the borders with Mexico and Canada to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide appropriate evidence.” according to a press release from the department.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden signed a decree lifting restrictions on entry into the United States from eight countries in Africa, which were introduced at the end of November due to the detection of an omicron variant of the coronavirus.
