“Upon arrival at the places where the training tasks are performed, Russian military personnel will carry out equipment and camouflage of launch positions, maintenance and will take up air defense training combat duty as part of the Unified Regional Air Defense System of Belarus and Russia,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that two battalions of S-400 air defense systems would be relocated to Belarus as part of an inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State.

The first units of the Russian Armed Forces involved in the relevant activities have already arrived in Belarus.
