Last summer, SVT Nyheter Skåne examined the garden companies Lomma trädgård, Bosab, Gröna teamet and Mitt trädgård.

Behind the companies are six brothers from Malmö.

The brothers and their companies cheated both customers and municipalities of millions of kronor by not performing agreed jobs, salty invoices and coming up with outright lies in procurements with forged documents.

Since then, the Swedish Tax Agency has prioritized checks on companies' applications for box deductions, which entitle them to payments of 50 percent of the labor cost.

Lomma garden and Bosab have changed their name

So far, Lomma Garden, which has now changed its name to MSA Service Entreprenad Skötsel AB, has been denied payments of SEK 1.3 million and a further SEK 900,000 is under investigation.

Bosab, now called FMAS Anläggning Snickeri Service AB, has also been denied payments of almost SEK 190,000 and almost SEK 300,000 is being investigated.

The same applies to the brothers' other company, Gröna teamet, where almost half of their requested box deductions have been stopped by the Swedish Tax Agency.

- We have found more systematic and repeated errors.

They have applied for payments for jobs that have not been done or for an excessive amount.

In some cases, the company has not been able to tell what they have done for work on the customer's site, says Pia Blank Thörnroos, tax lawyer at the Swedish Tax Agency.

Sends letters of demand to customers for non-scheduled payment

Nearly 15 customers that SVT has been in contact with tell how the brothers are now trying to demand the denied route money from the customers instead.

They send letters threatening to take the customer to "Swedish court" or "Supreme Court" if they do not pay within a few days.

- It's about threats and it's because they want their money.

But the advice I have given is to dispute the invoice, says Elin Fexner, consumer advisor in Lomma municipality.

SVT has applied for the brothers' company, but has not received an answer.

In more than 40 cases, they have appealed the Swedish Tax Agency's decision and write in their appeals that the customers are telling lies and that they have provided correct information to the Swedish Tax Agency.
