The "Report" shows that in 2020, the number of TCM medical and health institutions in my country will increase by 9.9%, and the total number of TCM diagnosis and treatment will reach 1.06 billion.

  According to the statistics of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in 2020, there will be 72,355 TCM medical and health institutions (including TCM hospitals, TCM outpatient departments, TCM clinics, and TCM research institutions affiliated to the health department) in my country's medical and health institutions. , compared with 65,809 in 2019, an increase of 6,546, an increase of 9.9%.

It accounted for 7.1% of the total number of medical and health institutions in the country, up from 6.5% in 2019.

  In 2020, there will be a total of 5,482 TCM hospitals across the country, an increase of 250 from 5,232 in 2019.

According to the type of institution, there are 4,426 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, 732 integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine hospitals, and 324 ethnic medical hospitals, an increase of 205, 33 and 12 compared with 2019, an increase of 4.9%, 4.7%, and 3.8% respectively (2019). There are 4,221 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, 699 integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospitals, and 312 ethnic medicine hospitals.

  In 2020, there were a total of 3,539 TCM outpatient clinics across the country, an increase of 272 or 8.3% from 3,267 in 2019.

There were a total of 63,291 TCM clinics, an increase of 6,023 or 10.5% from 57,268 in 2019.

In recent years, TCM clinics have developed rapidly and the growth rate is relatively fast. From 2015 to 2020, the growth rate of TCM clinics was 6.5%, 6.0%, 9.0%, 11.8%, 8.5%, and 10.5% respectively.

  In 2020, the total number of TCM diagnosis and treatment in China was 1.06 billion, a decrease of 110 million or 9.1% over the previous year, which was related to the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic; the total TCM diagnosis and treatment accounted for 16.8% of the national total, an increase of 0.4% over 2019 .

Among them: 790 million person-times in TCM medical institutions (600 million person-times in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, 190 million person-times in TCM outpatient departments and clinics), and 270 million person-times in clinical departments of traditional Chinese medicine in other medical and health institutions.
