Senator Tsekov commented on the statement of the German Chancellor on the supply of weapons to Ukraine

“First of all, I positively evaluate this statement of the German Chancellor.

I would like to hope that not only Germany will not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine, but it will also be able to convince other representatives of NATO countries,” the senator said.

Tsekov noted that this primarily concerns the United States and Great Britain. 

In his opinion, lethal weapons can also "aggravate the situation in eastern Ukraine."

“In Germany, this is well understood and understood that the conflict in Ukraine can be stopped only by complying with the Minsk agreements,” Tsekov concluded.

Earlier, Scholz said that the German government continues to pursue a successive policy on the supply of weapons to Ukraine, it does not support them.
