The Security Police, or Säpo, now sees an "increased flow" of misinformation and wants to draw attention to the fact that there is a risk of sharing propaganda and misinformation without intending to.

It is above all from right-wing extremist circles that Säpo has seen an "increased flow" of misinformation about pandemic-related issues.

- They use these platforms that have been created based on dissatisfaction with the pandemic, to achieve their own higher goals, says Susanna Trehörning at the Security Police.

From the right-wing extremist environment, the propaganda that Säpo sees is, among other things, about splitting and polarizing, and accelerating the social collapse one wishes to see.

Even foreign powers also above all want to paint Sweden as a country in decay and incite its own propaganda.

Susanna Trehörning, deputy head of constitutional protection and counter-terrorism at the Security Police, lists in the video three different ways in which disinformation can be hidden on social media and which may be worth thinking about.
