A Saudi decision regarding visas and residency for those who were unable to return due to “Corona” restrictions

The General Directorate of Saudi Passports announced the extension of the validity of residency and exit and return visas for residents who are outside the Kingdom from countries from which entry is suspended.

The "Saudi Passports" confirmed that this renewal will end on January 31, corresponding to Jumada al-Thani 28, 1443.

Okaz newspaper quoted the General Directorate of Passports as saying that this period "came in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud."

She stressed that "work on the extension is being done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center, and it does not require reviewing the passport departments."

The decision excluded “those who completed receiving two doses of the Corona vaccine inside Saudi Arabia before leaving it.”

Regarding the extension of visas, she confirmed that “the validity of visitor visas will be extended by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visitors who are outside Saudi Arabia, from countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the Corona outbreak, to be until the above date.”
