The ministry pointed out that at the initial stage of the investigation Shlyafman actively obstructed the investigation of the criminal case, "creating evidence incriminating Igor Malakhov Talkova of murder."
"To testify in a criminal case on production Malakhov shots in Talkova, he persuaded other witnesses to give similar testimony, hid in the dressing room Talkova above the revolver," - noted in the UK.
In 1992, Shlyafman left for Ukraine, received the relevant documents at the place of his birth and moved to Israel, where he still lives.
The Investigative Committee resumed the investigation into the murder of Talkov in 2018.
October 6, 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the assassination.
Talkov was killed during a concert in St. Petersburg.
According to the investigation, in the Yubileiny Sports Palace during a backstage concert between representatives of Igor Talkov and the singer Aziza - Valery Shlyafman and Igor Malakhov - there was a conflict over the order of the performance.
During the brawl, Malakhov was beaten, and Shlyafman, having taken possession of his revolver, shot Talkov, who died on the spot.
