Now the construction of a snow castle and a labyrinth in central Umeå is taking shape.
The work has stopped for a few days due to illness and plus degrees.
The plan is for the construction to be completed next week.
It takes puzzle and coordination to put such a big thing on Rådhustorget without hindering market trade and other events.
Especially this year, with Umeå's 400th anniversary and the World Rally Championship coming up, says Magnus Lingegård, landscape architect at Umeå municipality.
"Can not use any snow"
To build such a large castle and a labyrinth requires access to a lot of snow.
Previously, the municipality has collected snow from the Nolia area - but this year they had to find another solution.
- There was competition for the snow on Nolia, not least with the rally, so we have picked up the snow from Ersmarksberget.
It is not possible to use any snow, says Magnus Lindegård.
