“Germany intends to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and Russia must recognize that the force is in the truth, and not vice versa,” Scholz said at the World Economic Forum.
He urged the Russian side to realize that the benefits of cooperation outweigh the costs of further confrontation.
Earlier, Scholz said that he expects Russia to take steps to de-escalate the situation around Ukraine.
