On January 10, around 2:15 a.m., an employee of a kebab restaurant located rue Puits Gaillot (Lyon 1) seriously injured a customer.

He was in his 40s and was taken to hospital where he had to undergo surgery.

His injury, a deep cut on his hand, earned him 45 days of ITT.

Two contradictory versions

The 25-year-old employee was charged.

He told the police that the customer had entered the restaurant with a knife in his hand, threatening those present.

The young man said he injured his hand while trying to disarm him.

The victim was questioned in turn once he recovered from his injuries on January 18.

His version contradicted the previous one: it was the employee, he said, who attacked him first with a knife.

The testimonies collected by the investigation would have proven him right.

The young man was therefore taken back into custody on January 19;

he is presented to the prosecution this Thursday for a judgment in immediate appearance.
