The Dubai Ambulance Corporation for Ambulance Services set a world record for the speed of access to communications at the "Expo 2020 Dubai" exhibition, where the average amounted to only one minute and 17 seconds (77 seconds), a number worthy of entering the Guinness Book of Records.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Khalifa bin Dray, said that the response time to reach the cases set records, as it reached one minute and 42 seconds in October, while in November it reached 1.09 minutes, recording last month about 1.06, bringing the average to one minute and 17 seconds. Noting that this number is recorded for the first time in the world in the history of ambulance.

Strategies

Ben Dray added that shortening the time to reach notifications is one of the most important strategies of the institution, stressing that the institution seeks to reach less than that, especially since the time factor is very important to save patients.

He stated that all the paramedics working on the site of the international event, are among the finest cadres of the institution, and all of them hold internationally recognized ambulance certificates, and underwent training courses before the launch of the exhibition activities to present a bright image of the institution.

Bin Dray explained that the ambulance teams covering "Expo 2020 Dubai" dealt, during the first three months of the event, with 8,089 cases, most of them minor. First aid was provided to them on the site, while a limited number were transferred to health authority centers or hospitals.

And he indicated that the number of reports received by the Dubai Ambulance Corporation during the period between October and December last year reached 7999, where in October it was dealt with 2,185 cases, while in November it was dealt with 2840 cases, while the number of cases in December reached 3064 cases. .

Specialized Services

The Executive Director of the Dubai Ambulance Corporation, Khalifa Dray, said that the Corporation has prepared specialized ambulance services, which depend on the type and location of the service request, such as “golf” cars that are used in places where it is difficult for ambulances to enter some of them and reach them, where the “golf” vehicles supplied With stretchers, the sick and injured are transported to the nearest emergency point, to provide the necessary medical care.
