The statue of former President Theodore Roosevelt of the Natural History Museum in New York, which was criticized as a symbol of colonialism in the United States, has been removed.

In front of the American Museum of Natural History, a tourist attraction in New York, there was a statue of former President Theodore Roosevelt, who was involved in the creation of the museum, riding a horse and following American indigenous people and African figures.

However, after being criticized for being a symbol of colonialism and racism for some time, the museum consulted with the city of New York and the descendants of the former president in the wake of increased protests against racism throughout the United States. So I decided to remove it.

The statue will be lifted by a crane before dawn on the 20th and removed, and will be rented to the former President's Memorial Library in North Dakota in the Midwest for the time being.

When the statue was decided to be removed, New York City Mayor De Blasio welcomed it, while President Trump posted on Twitter that it was "ridiculous", and the pros and cons were divided by political position.
