China News Service, January 19. According to the Philippine "World Journal" WeChat public account "Philippines Express", the Philippines will begin to use pharmacies and clinics as locations for booster shots of the new crown vaccine.

Zhishun, adviser to the president on anti-epidemic affairs, said a large number of health care workers responsible for vaccinations have been infected, prompting the authorities to seek help from pharmacies and clinics.

Acting Spokesperson of the Presidential Palace Nograles revealed that the following 7 pharmacies/clinics will provide booster vaccination services for the new crown vaccine from January 20:

  .Healthway Manila Clinic

.Mercury Pharmacy at Presidente Chirenno Street, Malate District, Manila

  .South Star SSD, Marikina

. Watsons at SM Supercenter, Pasig

.Signal 1, Generika Pharmacy, Taguig City

  .The Generics Pharmacy in Parañaque

.Qualimed Clinic at McKinley Street, Makati City

Local governments will still handle matters such as registration of vaccinations, while pharmacies and clinics will handle the actual vaccinations, Nograles said at a news conference.

Zhishun said the program, known as "pharmacy vaccination", will be expanded to other pharmacies across the country after a one-week trial.

Deputy Health Minister Virgil said people aged 18 and over could receive booster shots without an appointment, except for the elderly and those with comorbidities.
