According to TASS with reference to the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, the investigation asks to arrest Valitov in absentia.
“The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow received a petition from the investigation to elect a measure of restraint in absentia in the form of detention against Valitov, who was previously put on the international wanted list on charges of embezzlement on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of Russia),” reported in court.
The date of the court session on the election of a measure of restraint for the person involved in the case has not yet been set.
Earlier, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained Alfa-Bank cashier Anna Grigoryeva, suspected of embezzling an amount equivalent to about 23 million rubles from work.
