Driver moved to the intensive care unit after a moose collision at Notviken

The collision occurred at 16:30 when three moose, probably a cow and two calves, crossed the road at the same time.

- One of the drivers became unconscious and was taken by ambulance to Sunderby Hospital, says Christina Neidebro, RLC officer at the police command center.

The motorists were driving on the same moose and the traffic was temporarily suspended during salvage work.

Late on Tuesday evening, the Norrbotten Region issued an injury report.

- A man in his 30s and is seriously injured and has been transferred from the emergency room to IVA, the report states.

The moose died and was taken care of by a wanted hunter.
