The pollution alert ended in Gironde, the air quality remains poor

The suspended particulate pollution (PM10) alert on the Gironde is lifted on Tuesday.

It had been triggered this Saturday by the prefecture with regard to information transmitted by the approved association for monitoring air quality (ATMO Nouvelle-Aquitaine).

The measures decided by prefectural decree of January 15, 2022 and the health and behavioral recommendations disseminated by the prefect of Gironde in connection with this episode of pollution, in particular the lowering of the speed of 20 km / h on the roads of the department, do not are more active, explains a press release from the prefecture.

But the Atmo tempers this exit from the pollution alert on its site: "Despite an exit from the particle pollution episode on the Gironde and a drop in particle concentrations below the information and recommendations threshold set at 50 µg/m³ on average daily, bad indices are expected in the Bordeaux metropolis today and tomorrow.
