The New Zealand pavilion promised visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai an agenda full of cultural events, concerts, dance performances and culinary events throughout this month, which will culminate in New Zealand's National Day celebrations at the World Expo.

In keeping with its theme at the Expo, 'Caring for People and Place', New Zealand's cultural events highlight the breadth and diversity of creative talent in the country.

Visitors to the gallery can join culinary events featuring top New Zealand chefs, and enjoy a range of performances by prominent singers and artists, as well as a selection of New Zealand's future art performances.

Clayton Kimpton, Commissioner-General of the New Zealand Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: "This month's schedule of cultural events at the expo is an excellent opportunity to showcase our spirit of creativity and innovation on a global scale."

"We look forward to welcoming visitors to join us in celebrating our National Day on the 31st of this month, and learn about the creativity in our country, and how care and hospitality is part of the rich culture of New Zealand," he added.

Kimpton continued, "Through a variety of events planned to celebrate our National Day, visitors to Expo 2020 will gain a deeper understanding of who we are, while highlighting the arts and creativity sector, which contributes around $11 billion to our GDP."

The program kicked off with the food and beverage event "Taste New Zealand", which continues until the end of the month, with the participation of prominent chefs, including Sahrawat Dam, Karina, Casey Bird, and Jesse Blake, who demonstrate their skills in food preparation, highlighting the wide range of excellent and delicious New Zealand ingredients.

From 23 to 31 January, the New Zealand Pavilion will organize a range of modern art shows with a focus on young people.

The programme, which will appeal to entertainment seekers of all ages, has been coordinated by Paris Goupil, Creative Director of New Zealand's Entertainment and Cultural Program at Expo 2020, who is one of New Zealand's most internationally successful artists.

Paris, a Samoan choreographer, has become a popular figure in pop culture around the world, having worked with celebrities including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Janet Jackson and Nicki Minaj.

He will present an exclusive show for "Expo 2020 Dubai" entitled "Wonderland", which seeks to highlight the capabilities and potentials of young New Zealand talent.
