Japan reports North Korean ballistic missile launch

Earlier, the Yonhap agency, citing South Korean military personnel, reported that the DPRK had launched an unidentified projectile in an easterly direction.

In Tokyo, they protested to the North Korean government in connection with the launch of the rocket on January 14.

According to the Kyodo agency, the launch was carried out by a railway missile regiment.
