IHME scientists predicted the peak incidence of coronavirus in Russia

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the model compiled by IHME.

At the same time, the institute believes that the achievement of the peak incidence will become apparent according to official statistics on February 5, when more than 85 thousand cases of COVID-19 can be detected after testing. 

The institute also predicts that the peak load on the healthcare system will fall on February 10 - IHME admits that more than 133 thousand beds may be required for patients.

At the same time, American scientists believe that the number of deaths from coronavirus will continue to decline for the time being.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that in a negative scenario for the development of the situation with COVID-19, the number of daily cases of coronavirus detected in the country could become six-digit.
