Former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir infected with Corona

The lawyer of former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, Muhammad al-Hassan al-Amin, announced that al-Bashir and a number of former officials had been infected with the Corona virus.

Al-Amin said that Omar Al-Bashir, Ali Othman, Al-Bashir’s deputy, Nafie Ali Nafeh, Al-Bashir’s advisor, and Al-Fateh Izz Al-Din were infected with the Corona virus, according to Al-Sudani newspaper.

Former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir is currently in Kober Prison, one of the largest and most famous prisons in Sudan.

Al-Bashir is being tried, along with 27 other defendants, for plotting the coup of what was later known as the National Salvation Front on June 30, 1989, against the government of then Prime Minister Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi.

As well as other charges, including: the killing of a number of officers in 1990, war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur, and finally charges related to corruption, abuse of power and trading in foreign exchange.

Al-Bashir is wanted, along with others, by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which accuses him of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Darfur region of Sudan.
