Several unions have again called for a massive strike in schools, colleges and high schools on Thursday 20 January.

This new call for mobilization comes just a few days after a massive mobilization on Thursday January 13, which brought together nearly 80,000 people throughout France.

But for Ghislaine David, spokesperson for the teachers' union, the SNUipp-FSU, these announcements are not enough.

She asks for "actions following the announcements that were made on Thursday".

14,380 classes closed 

For example, it calls for the establishment of "a collective budget to be able to record new positions in National Education".

The teacher affirms that "this request is still pending", before explaining that "many classes operate with very limited numbers and that the teachers are not advancing in their program. This new strike comes in a difficult health context.

Friday, according to the Ministry of National Education, 14,380 classes were closed.
