On Monday, January 17, the Presnensky Court of Moscow put an end to the story of the seven-year-old girl Sasha, who lived in a perinatal center from birth.

Her biological father Yuri Zinkin and mother Tatyana Maksimova were deprived of parental rights.

The trial started in the fall of 2021, however, due to covid restrictions, the meetings were constantly postponed.

The girl's parents never appeared in court.

Complete isolation

As RT previously wrote, the girl Sasha spent more than five years in the Moscow perinatal center.

The child was born prematurely in March 2014, but the doctors of the clinic "Mother and Child" managed to save the girl.

However, a few days after the child was discharged, the parents returned the daughter to the doctors with a complaint of "sudden respiratory arrest."

The family entered into an agreement with the clinic, agreeing that the girl would remain for treatment in a medical facility.

The father transferred money to the center's account, and also paid for the services of two nannies who took care of the baby in shifts.

Sasha spent five years in the clinic without leaving its walls.

Moreover, until 2019, the management of the center did not object to the fact that the girl was in complete isolation from society.

At the beginning of 2019, Elena Alshanskaya, head of the Volunteers to Help Orphans Charitable Foundation, received information on condition of anonymity that a healthy child lives in the Mother and Child Center.

She was asked to rescue the girl.

The human rights activist applied to the Cheryomushkinsky District Prosecutor's Office and the Investigation Department for the South-Western District of Moscow.

Criminal cases were initiated against both unidentified clinic staff and the child's mother.

However, later the prosecutor's office canceled the decision to initiate a criminal case, considering that there was no threat to the girl's life.

In the spring of 2019, the Mother and Child Clinic unilaterally terminated the contract with the parents and filed a lawsuit demanding that the child be taken away, but no action was taken.

After that, the medical center appealed to the guardianship and guardianship authorities with a request to resolve the situation.

In April 2020, the parents were limited in their rights, and six months later Sasha was transferred to a foster family.

According to representatives of the guardianship authorities, during all this time, Sasha's biological mother and father did not attempt to establish a relationship with their daughter, so it was decided to file a lawsuit to deprive them of parental rights.

"Decision Stands"

The lawyer of the family of guardians, Victoria Dergunova, commented on the verdict of the court to RT.

According to the lawyer, the Presnensky Court made a fair decision: “The judge listened to the case so carefully today, studied the documents submitted by the parties, that the decision was legally justified, fair, as many colleagues said.

Therefore, it will stand in the event of an appeal.

Parents can file a complaint within a month, the lawyer continues.

“Today, the operative part was announced, and why the court made such a decision, we will find out only after some time.

From the native parents were their legal representatives.

They also have, of course, the right to appeal this decision.

But the only thing you want to hope for is that they simply don’t have enough conscience for this, ”said Dergunova.

She also confirmed that the family of guardians intends to start the adoption procedure immediately after the court decision comes into force.

The lawyer noted that they “will have to go through the court”, however, she expressed the hope that there would be no obstacles: “The girl has long called Yulia (guardian. -

Elena Alshanskaya, head of the Volunteers to Help Orphans Foundation, spoke at the meeting as a witness.

Two years ago, it was thanks to her that the girl was taken away from the clinic, and her parents were restricted in their rights.

“Finally, an adequate solution.

We were very afraid and worried.

But this is the right and fair decision for all that crazy, unfair story that happened to this girl.

Of course there will be an appeal.

Throughout the previous process, it is already clear that they are using all legal possibilities.

But it seems to me that they have little chance, and the decision will stand.

The parents never appeared in court.

This shows their real “interest” in raising their own child, ”she told RT.
