After long discussions, Parliament adopted on Sunday the bill establishing the vaccine pass in France, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic with in particular the appearance of the new Omicron variant.

Socialist parliamentarians have made it known that they want to seize the Constitutional Council in order to guarantee respect for "fundamental freedoms".

Parliament definitively adopted on Sunday, by a final vote of the Assembly, the bill establishing the vaccination pass, which the government wants to implement as quickly as possible in the face of the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The text was adopted by 215 votes to 58, with 7 abstentions.

Socialist parliamentarians have planned to seize the Constitutional Council to guarantee respect for "fundamental freedoms", which will postpone the promulgation of the bill for a few days.
