More than 4,700 flights canceled as winter storm continues to batter the U.S.

　　According to a report by CNN on January 16, local time, as winter storms continue to hit the United States, as many as 80 million people will receive winter storm warnings from the southeast to the northeast.

　　On January 16 alone, nearly 5,700 flights were delayed and more than 4,700 were cancelled, according to a report by flight tracking data firm FlightAware.

　　Hundreds of flights were bracing for moderate to severe turbulence forecast up and down the East Coast, with the worst concentrated in northwest North Carolina, the epicenter of the winter storm, according to the Aviation Weather Center.

　　Winter storms have left tens of thousands of customers without power in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

The Highway Patrol has now reported hundreds of crashes.

　　In addition, according to statistics from the official website of PowerOutage.US, which records power outages across the United States, at least 203,880 households in the southeastern United States were out of power as of 16:00 ET due to the blizzard.
