“During the ascent to the town of Hoverla, Nadvirnyansky district, 1 person died and 2 were injured of varying degrees of severity,” the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
In total, 28 people and five pieces of equipment take part in the operation.
The height of the mountain is 2061 meters above sea level.
