Prosecutor General's Office: 225 people died during unrest in Kazakhstan

It is reported by Sputnik Kazakhstan with reference to the agency.

As specified, during the events in early January, 4,578 people were injured.

“225 dead bodies have been delivered to the morgues.

19 of them are security officials,” the agency writes.

Currently, 546 criminal cases are being investigated.

On January 16, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev instructed to establish the exact number of civilian deaths during the riots in the country.
