A woman in her 70s was out walking when the moose that had two last year's calves with it attacked.

Cathrine Olausson was nearby when it happened.

- A man was in place before me and could call an ambulance.

It's uncomfortable.

We have had problems with moose for a long time in Lerum and this is not the first time someone has been injured, she says.

The man on site was Anders Bonander.

He came driving with his car when the moose crossed the road.

Then came the woman who was out for a walk.

At first she did not see the moose and then tried to step aside when she had discovered the family.

Then it was too late.

- The moose stood on its hind legs and hit her with its hooves.

It attacked so she fell on the ground and injured herself.

I called an ambulance immediately, but did not dare to go out because the moose remained, says Anders Bonander.

- I saw everything, it was terrible and is still taken.

Should be shot

In recent months, the moose family has spread fear in society.

The cow together with two calves have made attacks on humans and in November the police decided that the moose family would be shot.

- We have been in contact with the municipality, police and hunters about the problem before and it led to the hunter getting a shooting permit.

But last year they did not manage to access the moose, says Thomas Nilsson from Aspenäs homeowners' association.

Now the Aspenäs homeowners' association will once again contact hunters and apply for permission to shoot the moose.

- This seems to be a third wave.

I will call the hunter again and inform about this tonight, says Thomas Nilsson.

Two years ago, the municipality had the same problem with another moose family.

Even then, the killing of the animals ended.
