The 49-year-old woman who brought five children to Syria is suspected of having contributed to her one son being trained and used as a child soldier by the terrorist sect.

An older son also died in the fight for IS, but the woman's role there is unclear, so the prosecution only applies to the younger son.

A third son is said to have died in an accident.

Who seized and forced civilian Syrians to flee their own country.

And that still poses a threat from the cells they now remain in.

The proof a challenge

It is highly unlikely that this IS woman is the only one who can be suspected of having committed a crime with IS.

Nevertheless, she is the first to be tried in Sweden for crimes committed by the terrorist organization.

It is a challenge to find evidence in another country and also during a burning war.

In this case, the prosecutor considers that she has such good evidence that she brought charges.

The accused woman herself says that she did not want her children to fight and become child soldiers.

She claims her innocence.

They are expected at the end of January.
