At Mariebergsskolan in Umeå, which is an elementary and middle school, several cases of covid-19 have been found.
A high school class has now been sent home for distance learning.
- We have some individual students who have been quarantined.
Then we have a class that has been sent home for distance learning the week before.
We made that decision yesterday afternoon together with the infection control, Magnus Josefsson, area manager of the primary school Northeast in Umeå.
Cases at several schools
Infection control in Västerbotten has been in contact with more schools regarding the spread of infection among teachers and students, something that was expected according to infection control doctor Gunilla Persson.
- We have heard from various quarters that there are cases in classes and with staff.
In some cases only reached a few, in others a little more.
This is not unexpected, it will continue to be so.
The infection affects everyone, she says.
