And "Emirates Today" monitored many people wearing masks in the wrong way, not covering the mouth and nose, especially among young people and children in shopping centers and roads.

Workers in shops and shopping centers indicated that it has become commonplace to see many people who are not committed to wearing masks correctly, inside shops and on the roads, and only placing them on the chin or above the mouth only, or leaving them hanging on one ear or making small holes in them under the pretext of helping them to Breathe easier.

Doctors warned of the dangers of wearing masks incorrectly, or underestimating some of the seriousness of the pandemic and complaining about them continuing to adhere to precautionary measures, or reducing the risk of “Corona” virus mutants and an increased sense of safety due to their obtaining vaccination and the supporting dose.

Doctors: Shadi Ahmed, Hisham Fathi, Mai Mohamed, and Dalia Abdel Nasser, confirmed that the masks guarantee a percentage of protection, as they provide an additional layer of protection from anyone carrying the virus, and form a barrier separating them from others when sneezing or coughing, especially since many infected people have been infected with the virus. They don't realize they have the virus before symptoms appear, or they don't have symptoms.

Therefore, wearing a muzzle protects everyone, noting the need to ensure that wearing masks accompanies adherence to other precautionary measures, such as hand washing and physical distancing.

They stressed that masks contribute to enhancing adherence to the rules and other instructions applied to limit the spread of the "Corona" virus, as it reminds people while they are abroad of the need to adhere to physical distancing and not touch the face, which is useful in limiting the spread of the virus.

For their part, the health authorities in the country confirmed that everyone should wear masks when leaving homes, and go to public places, means of transportation, and commercial centers, or in areas of high density;

Exempted from this are the groups exempted from wearing a face mask in public places, such as children and people of determination, and those who suffer from severe respiratory diseases, or those who have difficulty breathing normally.

She stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to the rules of spatial distancing, and maintaining a distance of two meters from others;

washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and avoiding handshakes, kisses, and hugs;

In addition to avoiding touching the face, especially the eyes, nose and mouth;
