It has now been two and a half years since the cruise ship Costa Concordia capsized off the Italian island of Giglio in the Mediterranean.

The group leading the salvage announces that the ship will be lifted from the seabed within ten days and taken to the port city of Genoa, where it will be scrapped.

At the same time, the Italian police release television images that divers filmed inside the wreck, days before the large salvage of the ship.

In September last year, the 290-meter-long hull was straightened up in a unique salvage operation - never before has a ship the size of Costa Concordia been salvaged.

A total of 32 people died in the accident, when the ship went too close to land.

When the luxury cruiser was commissioned in 2006, it was the largest ship ever built in Italy.
