The Ethiopians opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Dawa Hotessa but Karl Toko-Ekambi responded quickly, just four minutes later.

Vincent Aboubakar then scored twice in the space of two minutes in the second half (53rd, 55th) before Toko-Ekambi also added a second personal goal (67th).

In Group A, the team coached by Toni Conceiçao have six points after their initial success against Burkina Faso (2-1).

Ethiopia, already beaten in the first match by Cape Verde (1-0), can still hope to qualify as the best third despite an unfavorable goal difference.
