Jean-Michel Blanquer is in the eye of the storm.

While the call for a teachers' strike on Thursday promises to be very followed, the Minister of National Education finds himself under fire from criticism from the opposition.

And, the pressure is also increasing in his own camp.

Just before the Council of Ministers, the tone rose between Jean-Michel Blanquer and the Minister of Health Olivier Véran. 

Jean-Michel Blanquer is under pressure on the eve of the call for a strike by teachers, which promises to be very followed.

The Minister of National Education is under fire from criticism from the opposition but also from his own camp after the flop of his health announcements for the school.  

The tone is raised in Véran and Blanquer

The ecologists, through the voice of Yannick Jadot, or the socialists are calling for the resignation of the Minister of Education this evening.

On the right, the Republicans, them, demand accounts from Jean-Michel Blanquer and above all, an express simplification of the health protocol in schools.

Even internally, the situation is straining for the minister.

This morning, just before the Council of Ministers, tension rose between him and Olivier Véran.

The two men explained themselves in front of their colleagues.

Jean-Michel Blanquer criticized the Minister of Health for not supporting him sufficiently in this crisis.

Launder in the middle of a storm

Officially, Emmanuel Macron has provided strong support to the tenant of rue de Grenelle.

But in Macronie, there is a real apprehension of the mobilization of tomorrow.

"We will follow this very, very closely," admits an advisor.

First because the Minister of Education, heavyweight of the government, finds himself in the middle of a storm.

And, less than a hundred days before the presidential election, the consequences of this crisis can immediately fall on the head of state.

But at this stage, out of the question to unplug the Minister of Education, who remains for the marchers a trump card to speak to the right-wing electorate
