A terrible traffic accident in South Africa.. 16 people were burned alive

A minibus collided with another vehicle on a road in South Africa's Limpopo province, killing 17 people, including 16 who were burned alive inside the bus.

Regional Transportation Authority spokesman Mike Maringa said the bus caught fire and the 16 passengers in the minibus were stranded and burned alive, as well as the driver of the four-wheel drive vehicle died instantly.

He added that eight other people were injured in the incident.

According to preliminary investigations, the driver of the four-wheel drive lost control of his vehicle after a tire exploded;

This resulted in a frontal collision with a 22-seater bus.

Minibuses are often overcrowded, are widely used as public transport in South Africa, and in poor condition of vehicles and reckless drivers often exacerbate traffic safety in the country.
