After the county administrative board followed in the municipality's footsteps that Studentbåten no longer has the right to remain on Hattholmen in Karlskrona this summer, the boat owner chose to appeal to the Land and Environment Court, at Växjö District Court.

He believes that the process did not go right and that he should get a new building permit.

It has now been just over six months since the appeal was submitted and now the court has made its decision: namely to reject the appeal because there are no conditions for granting a building permit.

Furthermore, the verdict states that the municipality's environmental and community building committee has been justified in how they have decided in the case.

- This whole deal is not fun.

Everything feels damn boring, for everyone involved, says boat owner Christian Carlsson.

Appeals again

As the boat owner believes that there is no alternative but to continue fighting for survival, he has chosen to pursue the matter further.

An appeal has now been submitted to the Supreme Land and Environmental Court, at the Svea Court of Appeal.

- It has not been announced yet if they intend to take up the matter.

It should come in the near future, says Magnus Larsson (C), chairman of the environment and community building committee.

- The time freed up by appealing, even though it took a lot of time to formulate the appeal, I have tried to resolve the situation.

All this is about the fact that I can not sort out the deal in the short time I have had, says Christian Carlsson.

Received a buyer's offer - to the committee chairman

According to Magnus Larsson (C), he has received an offer from an interested party who wanted to buy the ship.

- It still shows that there may be solutions to the issue, even if the boat can not remain in Karlskrona, he says.

But that there are willing buyers for the Student Boat is not something that the owner Christian Carlsson had any idea about.

- I think it's strange that he has not said anything to me about this.

It's almost like they want me bad.
