During a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council under the Government to combat COVID-19, Popova noted that different forecasts of the situation are being made: short-term, long-term, pessimistic and optimistic.
"And what we see today, unfortunately, creates a pessimistic forecast for the possible ... growing detection of the number of cases ... up to six-digit numbers in Russia with unfavorable development ..." - said Popova.
Popova also announced signs of a worsening epidemiological situation in Russia.
According to her, in 35 Russian regions, the incidence rate of COVID-19 exceeds the national average.
