As Kulik noted, the discussion of such topics means that the parties "consolidate the spheres of influence," and this, in his opinion, is dangerous for Ukraine.

Ruslan Balbek stressed that for Russia, the task of negotiations with the United States lies precisely in security guarantees.

At the same time, the political scientist added that Kiev is accustomed to the role of a "bully" who is supported and supplied by NATO with weapons.

When they began to arm him, the Ukrainian government felt omnipotent, ”the expert explained.

He noted that now that "the international issue of guarantees to Russia from the West has become acute," this has frightened Ukraine, so it is trying to attract attention with populist statements.

Earlier, Kulik, in an article for the Ukrainian edition of Glavred, said that negotiations between Washington and Moscow on the issue of strategic stability are an “unfavorable signal” for Ukraine.
