Alexandre Guérini, detained since June 10 at Luynes prison near Aix-en-Provence, will see the light of day again, for a few weeks at least.

The latter was sentenced by the Marseille court last May to six years in prison for alleged public market rigging while his brother, Jean-Noël, now a senator, was at the material time chairman of the departmental council. .

Jean-Noël was sentenced in this same case to three years in prison, including 18 months suspended.

Both had appealed against this conviction and were retried last December.

The prosecutor requested harsher sentences than at first instance.

The judgment is expected on February 23.
