"Blinken shared with Kuleba the content of the talks between the Russian and American delegations in Geneva on January 10," the press service said.

It is noted that the parties agreed on further steps of Ukraine and the United States, in particular, taking into account the following diplomatic contacts with Russia in the format of the NATO Council - Russia and the OSCE.

They also noted their mutual adherence to the diplomatic principle "no agreements on Ukraine without Ukraine."

In addition, Kuleba and Blinken discussed the subsequent tough economic sanctions against Russia and the practical strengthening of the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, Kuleba said that Ukraine and the United States had agreed on their positions on Russia before the talks between Moscow and Washington.

They also discussed "a possible response to a Russian force build-up" at the Ukrainian border.
